About Us

The International Heart Hub (iHHub) is the first global non-profit organisation that brings together and supports the creation of patient groups from every country in the world to raise awareness of heart failure and improve lives.

What Is Heart Failure?

Heart failure is defined, clinically, as a syndrome (a set of medical signs and symptoms) in which patients have typical symptoms of breathlessness, ankle swelling, and fatigue resulting from an abnormality of structure or function of the heart.

Why We Need To

Act Now

There are an estimated 26 million people with heart failure worldwide.

Up to 45% of those diagnosed with heart failure die within 12 months of the initial diagnosis.

Heart failure causes 2-3 times as many deaths as advanced cancers like bowel and breast cancer.

In economically developed countries, up to 1 in 5 people are expected to develop heart failure in their life.
